- The Kumlong Baptist Church beginnings were humble. Previously, it was under the aegis of the Mokokchung Town Ao Baptist Church from 19th June, 1977 till 26th February, 1994 as Kumlong Fellowship. It was only on 27th February, 1994, the Kumlong Fellowship name was officially changed to Kumlong Baptist Church. The Church had its affliation under the Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM), which is a Church Association of 165 Ao Baptist Churches .
- The Kumlong Baptist Church celebrated its 25th Silver Jubilee on 27th February, 2019. The detailed story of our Church and our Baptist legacy is clearly witnessed in our beliefs. The Church emphasize Jesus Christ as Lord, the Bible as authoritative for Faith. The Church believe in God- the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Church believes in God’s grace and Salvation.
- Today, the Kumlong Baptist Church is remarkably juvenile and vibrant. However, the congregation has a beautiful history. The Church owes much to the legacies bestowed upon the Church progress by those past visionaries and idealists whose hard work, faith and belief had shaped the nature of the Church. As time passedby, it also witnessed a renewed interest in Spiritual and personal values. Its congregation grows at incredible rates. At present, the Church had a congregation of more than 2300 members. The believers participate in the spirit of love, share, forgiveness and care towards one another.
- The Pastor take charge of the overall Church administration and under him there are four Associate Pastors taking care of the mentioned ministries: Family Ministry, Women Ministry, Youth Ministy and Christian Education Ministry.
